207: What to Do with Your Unwanted Pain and Why Pretending Keeps You from Transformation (feat. Nicole Zasowski)

Podcast · September 2, 2020

Somehow, the unthinkable happened in your life: job loss, infidelity in your marriage, the loss of a parent far too early in life, the betrayal of a friend. Beyond the shock, grief and the sense of profound loss hits in an unpredictable way. And as we move through grief, not only does life change, but we are changed in the process. And while a fatalistic view of life isn’t helpful or even hopeful, we cannot ignore the fact that in this life, we will experience loss and pain. And that’s what we’re going to explore with marriage and family therapist, Nicole Zasowski. Today’s focus isn’t about how to look on the bright side or how to search for the silver lining in the cloud. It’s how to leverage the unwanted pain in your life in a way that will lead you to emotional freedom and transformation.

What Listeners Are Saying…

“So great to find a podcast that is both encouraging and challenging! It is professionally produced, yet still has an informal feel like I’m hanging out with Chris… And frankly, I’d love to hang out with him! I really appreciate his heart and have been able to apply many of his topics in my life to help me grow professionally, physically, and relationally. A+!”
