Three things that lead people to get married are often romantic attraction, sexual chemistry, and relational compatibility. Yet research shows that they do not predict future marital happiness and fulfillment. And in 1967, a study of college-age women found at 76% of women said they would marry someone if the man had every trait they were looking for, even if they didn’t feel “romantic love” toward him. In more recent research, 91% of women said, “absolutely not.” So, what’s the cultural shift? Well, this week, we’re talking about all things dating, marriage, compatibility, and conflict with Gary Thomas.
