Guest Bio

Strahan Coleman, a New Zealand-based writer, musician, and spiritual director, founded Commoners Communion in 2017 to foster a deeper prayer life. His three prayer books, “Prayer Vol. 01, 02 & 03,” offer poetic prayers, contemplations, and reflections designed to deepen readers’ communion with God. His work has been featured in various publications and performances, including a collaboration with Amanda Cook and the Cageless Birds. Strahan’s approach to prayer emphasizes a more embodied and experiential connection with God, inviting readers to integrate ancient prayer forms into their modern lives. His music, described as psalmic, has been recognized with awards and has featured collaborations with other notable artists. Today, Strahan leads spiritual retreats, teaches online prayer schools, and hosts the Commoners Communion Podcast, all aimed at exploring and promoting contemporary Christian spirituality.
