291: The Fight for Rest and Why Struggle is Necessary (feat. Ben Stuart)

Podcast · April 27, 2022

According to today’s guest, Ben Stuart, who’s the pastor of Passion City Church in Washington D.C., a lot of us underestimate the complexity of what’s happening beneath the surface in our soul and spirit and then never find peace and victory that’s sustainable. That’s why he argues that we must fight for rest and why struggle in life is so necessary for our development. For Ben, this struggle, this fight, was true when he had to lay face down and lived sick each day because of the side effects of the medications after major back surgery. And it took a toll on his emotional health. You’ll hear more about that and more in today’s conversation with Ben Stuart.

If you enjoy this episode with Ben, I’m sure you’ll also enjoy:
  • 290: Dr. John Delony on Grief, Trauma, the Physical Implications of Your Thoughts, and How to Own Your Past
  • 280: Levi Lusko on Inner Pace, Faithfulness vs. Ambition, Cold Therapy, and Why We Need to Do Hard Things
