319: Dr. Alison Cook on The Cocktail of Codependency, Learning Surrender, and the Dysfunction of Spiritual Bypassing

Podcast · November 30, 2022

Dr. Alison Cook joins me this week to talk about the cocktail of codependency, how to surrender well, and the dysfunction of spiritual bypassing. This was one of my favorite conversations this year on the show, and I’m excited to introduce you to Alison. Dr. Alison Cook is a psychologist and the author of two books. For 20 years, Alison has helped women, ministry leaders, couples, and families learn how to heal painful emotions, develop confidence from the inside out, forge healthy relationships, and fully live out their God-given potential.

If you enjoy this episode with Alison, I’m sure you’ll also enjoy the following:
  • 311: Gary Thomas on Grieving Expectations, Affair-Proofing Your Marriage, and How to Make Your Marriage a Fortress
  • 310: Dharius Daniels on Emotional Intelligence, Living Outside Your Identity, and the Misguided Pursuit of “Your Best Self”
