Today, I am thrilled to introduce you to an incredible thinker, theologian, and teacher. Dr. Joel Muddamalle, Director of Theology and Research at Proverbs 31 Ministries joins us today to talk about the inescapable aspects of life we are all marked by. We have less control than we want, more anxiety than we’re comfortable with, and just enough insecurity to continually remind us of our shortcomings. To experience these things is to be human. We aren’t superheroes and invincibility isn’t an option. But humility is.
Guest Bio:
Along with his role as Director of Theology and Research at Proverbs 31 Ministries, Joel is also a part of the preaching team at Transformation Church with pastor Derwin Gray. Joel earned a Ph.D. in theology under Drs. Patrick Schreiner (NT) and Michael Heiser (OT) with an emphasis on Paul’s household language in Ephesians as it relates to the Old Testament. He loves studying and teaching the brilliant truths found in Scripture and unpacking how they relate to our everyday lives. Joel works directly with Lysa TerKeurst and her team on all of her books and Bible studies through the research and writing phases. He is also one of the main teachers for Proverbs 31 Ministries’ daily Bible studies in the First 5 app, as well as one of the voices for the Therapy & Theology podcast.
