Have you ever been skeptical about the Bible? If you have, guess what: you’re not alone. In surveying culture, the Bible is seen by many contemporary readers as intolerant, outdated, out of step with societal norms at best, and a tool of oppression at worst. But I want to take time today with my new friends, millennial thought leaders and aspiring theologians, Michael and Lauren McAfee to discuss this very issue.
Along the way, Michael and Lauren have had to wrangle very real questions—both their own, and of their friends—about why, where, and how the most controversial and most powerful book in history fits in our world today. I’m really passionate about the written Word of God as you know, but I really want to sharpen the saw so-to-speak, and be able to better engage in conversations with people who sit on opposite sides of thought. I truly believe Jesus is the solution for every problem we’ll ever face in life. He is the Word made flesh.
And so today, Michael and Lauren join me to clear the deck on our preconceptions of this life-changing book and encounter it anew. If you’re listening right now full of questions and maybe even hesitation, know this: you have a seat at the table. And at the end of this conversation, know this: a real, life-changing encounter with the Living God is available.

What Listeners Are Saying…
“So great to find a podcast that is both encouraging and challenging! It is professionally produced, yet still has an informal feel like I’m hanging out with Chris… And frankly, I’d love to hang out with him! I really appreciate his heart and have been able to apply many of his topics in my life to help me grow professionally, physically, and relationally. A+!”
